Statement of Faith

The Bible

The Bible — both the Old and New Testaments — is the inspired Word of God, written by men under God's control. It is the final authority for faith and life, and it is trustworthy for knowing God, for salvation, and for how to live (2 Timothy 3:15–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21).

The Godhead

There is one God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The three Persons are co-equal and co-eternal, identical in essence and sharing the same divine attributes. Each Person is fully God, yet there is only one God — not three (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14).

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who became man without ceasing to be God — fully divine and fully human, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life and voluntarily gave Himself to die on the cross for our sins. He rose bodily from the grave, ascended to the right hand of the Father where He intercedes for His people, and will return in glory (John 1:1, 14; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Romans 8:34).

Salvation

All people have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are by nature unable to save themselves. Salvation is the gift of God's grace, received through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ — not earned by works or personal merit. All who trust in Christ are forgiven of their sins, born again by the Holy Spirit, and adopted into the family of God (Ephesians 2:8–9; John 1:12; Titus 3:4–7).
